    History:

Air Canada placed a tentative order on March 1st 1967 with options for 4 aircraft from BAC.
    June 1972:- Cancelled.

    Reasons for cancellation:

    1. The noise and environmental pollution associated with the sonic boom and operation caused many problems for Concorde. Early in the program, airlines had been denied landing slots at New York JFK, and there was increasing concern that territories would ban overland flying. Only operating over-water supersonic flights was a limitation many airlines did not want.
    2. Many airlines saw the potential of larger, high capacity aircraft to reduce costs (and ticket prices), and the appeal of premium, high cost, travel diminished.  Welcome Boeing 747!
    3. The oil crisis of the 1970's.
