On July 24, 2022 a Vueling Aircraft flying from Barcelona to Birmingham in the UK when the aircraft started to fill up with smoke. An explosion occurred and sent flight attendants panicking and running down the aisle.
Shades of the Costa Concordia incident!
As a flight attendant opened the door, the Captain was the first to leave the aircraft, along with the rest of the flight crew leaving only one hysterical flight attendant, screaming for passengers to get off the plane.
International Airlines Group who owns Vueling is a low cost Spanish carrier and British Airway has not been available for comment.
What are you thoughts about this incident? Was the Captain justified in leaving the plane first? We look forward to you comment below.
