Airbus Win Means a Boeing Loss!

Qantas has chosen to revitalize it's narrow body fleet with the Airbus A320neo and the A220 (formerly Bombardier "C" series) aircraft which constitutes an order of 134 aircraft with delivery beginning in 2024. Airbus beat out US manufacturer Boeing and Brazil's Embraer. There are discussions in also purchasing A321XLR which will carry 15% more passengers than their current Boeing 737-800s.

To say this is a shock to Boeing is quite the understatement. Qantas has been a Boeing customer since 1959 and at one time it's entire fleet was comprised of Boeing 747s. What do you think of the Qantas decision to go with Airbus? Is Boeing's market share going to continue to dwindle or will they see a recovery?
